Irene L. Buchanan's Obituary
Buchanan, Irene L., a resident of Dallas for 72 years, passed away at her home early Sunday morning January 7, 2007. She was born in Beaver County, Oklahoma on February 2, 1913 to Logan Revert and Nellie Eubank Goad; they precede her in death. Irene married Neal Buchanan in the spring of 1949, a unity that lasted until his death in 1995. Mrs. Buchanan retired from Skillerns Drug Store. Her greatest pleasures in life were when her nieces and nephews would come to visit. She loved to take them to the State Fair and to Six Flags to ride the rides. She and her husband loved to attend the horse races in Louisiana. Mrs. Buchanan is survived by her brother, Bob Barnett of Perryton, TX, several nieces and nephews and a host of other friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, and two sisters.
