Irene J. Wright's Obituary
Irene J. Wright passed away on October 12, 2016 in Plano Texas. Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill after 44 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter Brenda and husband Steve of Dallas, her son Billy and his wife Janna of Houston, and her precious granddaughters Madeline and Abigail, along with many extended family members. Irene was a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing in Detroit Michigan in 1947, and became a registered nurse. She was a pediatric nurse for three years at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She enlisted in the Air Force nurse corps and was stationed in Japan where she attained the rank of captain. It was in Japan that she met the love of her life and future husband Billy B. Wright. They were married in Lubbock, Texas in 1956. The family lived in Houston for 12 years and moved to Dallas in 1981. Irene was a school nurse in the Lubbock, Lamar Consolidated, and Plano school districts for 29 years retiring in 1995. She was a faithful member of Prestoncrest church of Christ in Dallas. She will be missed by all who loved her. Burial will be at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. She will forever be in our hearts. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
