Irma Marie Boyer's Obituary
Irma Sigler Boyer passed away in Dallas, TX, on December 5, 2010. She was born December 3, 1913, in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from Highland Park High School and Southern Methodist University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. She worked in her late husband’s business, Doak Walker Sports Center and was an avid supporter of SMU sports. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and homemaker. Irma was preceded in death by her husband, W.R “Dub” Boyer; her son, Robert Sigler “Bobby” Boyer; her sister, Marjorie Sigler Dawson; and parents, Charles Moorehead and Irma Hanna Sigler. She is survived by daughter, Betsy Boyer Hardin and husband, Tom, of Alexandria, LA; grandchildren, Terry Boyer and wife, Lisa, of Dallas, TX; Mary Beth Boyer Nix and husband, Preston, of Heath, TX; Cristin Hardin Foreman and husband, James, of San Antonio, TX; and Melissa Hardin Deichert and husband, Michael, of Richardson, TX; Shirley Dawson Holt, of Corpus Christi, TX; twelve great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Lynn Butterfield Boyer, of Dallas, TX. Graveside Service and Internment will be at 11 :OOAM, Thursday, December 9, at Restland with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to the Pastoral Care Ministry at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX, 75205.
