Irma Henrietta McCusker's Obituary
On March 21 2020, Irma Bouillot McCusker, loving wife and mother, passed away in Austin, TX with her husband and daughter at her bedside.
Irma was born 12/29/1935 in Pittsburgh, PA to Harry and Adrienne (Gelly) Bouillot. There she grew up and graduated from South Fayette High School and was affectionately known as Frenchie by her classmates. Irma is preceded in death by parents Harry and Adrienne, beloved Aunt Marcelle, brother Raymond and daughter Michele. She is survived by husband Fran, daughter Emily Barnett, son-in-law Tom and grandchildren Luke and Ruby.
Irma and Fran were married 63 years. They started their life together in Pittsburgh, had some great years in Oklahoma City and made their home in Dallas for the majority of their life. There she raised her daughters, had many dear friends and was involved with various Catholic charities. She was very proud of her French heritage and loved to explore her parents’ homeland. In later years, her grandchildren brought her great joy and pride. Irma had a lively personality and rarely met a stranger. She was never shy to share her opinion and loved a good joke. In this case, she got the last laugh on many of her friends as they read this and realize she was a year older than they always thought. She will be dearly missed by all. We love you Irma!
A small private service will be held March, 27th at Restland Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Avenue. If you would like to make a donation in her name, please consider Catholic Charities Dallas.
