Irwin Edward Colgin II's Obituary
Colgin, Irwin Edward II was born in Waco, Texas at the Colgin Hospital and Clinic. Irwin passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 29th, 2024. Irwin was a graduate of Waco High School and Southwestern University at Georgetown where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. During the Korean War he served in the US Army in one of the first Nike Missile Battalions to train at Fort Bliss, Texas. Irwin had a lifelong career in the Insurance Industry and was a manager in the Dallas Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.
Irwin is preceded in death by his wife, Jeri Colgin; sons, David Colgin and Ronald Colgin; loving Godchild, Heather Sizemore; as well as many close friends.
He is survived by his beloved son, Jim Colgin and wife, Theresa; Daughter-in-law Virginia Guillory and husband Michael; Granddaughter, Christy Tschuaner and husband Chad; and great-grandchildren, Michaela Grace (5) and Ryan David (3); and many other cousins.
Irwin enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally. He loved the art he saw in every day life.
