Isabel Alice Howell's Obituary
Isabel Alice Howell, 97, of Dallas Texas passed from this life on October 17, in Dallas. She was born January 12, 1926 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania to her parents, Wilbur Haines and Prudence Maines. Isabel was a member of the Redeemer Bible Church. She was a warrior for the lord, having led many people to salvation. For over a decade she graciously volunteered weekly at the Stew Pot Ministry with many friends from her church. Isabel loved to bake and cook and was an avid reader. She was very active in her yard planting flowers and pulling weeds up into her late eighties. Isabel worked for the City of Dallas in the District Attorney's Office and at the Lake Highlands Junior High cafeteria. After raising her own family, she took care of neighborhood children before and after school for more than twenty years where she forever became known as “Granny” to all the children she loved and the families she impacted forever. Isabel is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Judge David W. Howell, Sisters Betty Peters, Shirley Campbell and Darlene Wiant. Brothers Jerry, Charles and Paul Haines. Son Donald R. Kerstetter and grandson Joshua D. Dulworth. She is survived by daughters Janice Dulworth, Tina Taylor and husband Guy. Grandchildren Emily Sinclair and husband Bryce, Amber Gonzalez and Dylan Kerstetter. Great Grandchildren Allison and Ashley Sinclair, Eric and Lindsey Gonzalez. Fouad Bashour and his wife Jennifer whom she loved as her own grandchildren along with their sons Zachary and Samuel. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and extended family and friends.
