Isabelle Marie Arceneaux's Obituary
Isabelle “Bobbie” Arceneaux entered Heaven on July 22, 2014. She was born in the heart of Cajun country in the small community of Mire, Louisiana. In 1951, she married Mearl Arceneaux, (also from Mire) who was a young sergeant in the Air Force serving in Biloxi, Mississippi. She joined him there and followed him to many locations around the world including Alaska, Colorado, Washington, D.C., and Germany during his 26 year career with the armed forces. They retired to their hometown of Rayne, Louisiana. Bobbie was proceeded in death by her parents, Louise and Howard Doucet; her brother, Ivy Doucet and his wife Ella Mae; and brother-in-law, Shelby Arnaud. Bobbie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Mearl Arceneaux; her only child, Kay Arceneaux Ryon and husband Bob; and one sister, Jeanette Arnaud. She has three grandchildren, Nicole Ryon Stanbery and husband Patrick; Brandon Ryon and fiancee Kathleen Galllagher; and Brent Ryon and wife Stephanie. Bobbie has three great grandchildren, Weston Ryon, Colbie Ryon and Carter Stanbery. She will be remembered by all who knew here as a true Southern lady who loved God and treasured family and friends. She was a loving wife to Mearl, a great Mom and best friend to her daughter, Kay, and an affectionate and generous Nana to her grandchildren. Although she will be missed, we rejoice in knowing that Bobbie now enjoys fullness of life with our Lord. Bobbie was laid to rest at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas on July 26, 2014.
