Izora Harris' Obituary
Izora Ross was the seventh child of eight born to the parentage of Edmond A. Ross Sr and Juanita Ellis Ross on July 30,1943 in Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Edmond A. Ross Jr, Eddie B Ross, Robert E. Ross Sr. ; one sister: Bertha May Shaw. At an early age she was baptized at Egypt Chapel BC under the leadership of Rev. J B Body. She later joined Macedonia BC Rev. W.C Vine. Later in life she became a member of Kaiser Street BC where she served on the usher board under the leadership of Rev L W Wilson. She was a present member of Sweet Home MBC where she also served on the usher board under the leadership of Rev D L Wilson. Izora attended George Washington Carver H.S – Garland TX. She was united in Holy matrimony to Willie Ray Harris on January 7,1971. They have two daughters. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Willie Ray Harris of Richardson, Texas; two daughters: Andrea (Frank) Washington of Mesquite, Texas, LaTonya Harris of Richardson, Texas; one sister: JoAnn (Jimmy) Wilson, of Rowlett, Texas; two brothers: Jimmy (Vera) Ross, of Bryan, Texas, Alphus Ross of Mesquite, Texas; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, January 22, 2016 at The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
