J.D. Ward's Obituary
Mr. J.D Ward known by many friends “Hos Fly” was born in Rusk County, Laneville, TX to the late John Ward and Evelyn Simon Ward.
He attended and graduated from Allen High, a good student. His favorite class was shop (FFA). He loved basketball and was written up in the Henderson Laneville paper sports page as a star player many times. Also horseshoe was a fun game he also loved playing.
J.D. was baptized a protestant into the Anadarko Christian church at an early age. Upon completion of high school, he was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
Later years he made his home in Dallas, Texas. He marries Ms. Frances, to that union one child was born. Later in years, he married Sarah Harris; no children from this union. He was employed by Fossil Group for many years. J.D. entered eternal rest Friday, December 4, 2020 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX.
He loved his family and siblings. Preceded him in death, Bettie Jean, Mae Frances, James, and Emmie Dell. He leaves 7 siblings of our large southern family, Elizabeth, John Jr. Vernon Ray, Hattie Mae, Vallie Ree, Cora Dell, Charles and host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
