J is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also has a host of new and old friends. J was a true follower of Jesus Christ and a very successful soul winner. He witnessed to anyone who crossed his path telling them of the love of Jesus and how they too could have eternal life. J loved his God, country and family. He was so proud of his grandson, US Army SFC Mark Gigowski, for his service to our country and great-grandson, RCT Shawn Gigowski who graduates from Marine Boot Camp next week. J always wore his American Flag pin next to his heart. J had a very rewarding career in insurance that spanned 50 years. He retired multiple times but he loved his customers too much to make it permanent. J and Dorothy traveled the world visiting Israel, Egypt, Italy, Paris, England, Switzerland, and Holland and even took a cruise on the Love Boat down the Mexican Riviera. J and Dorothy hosted many church and family parties at their home in Rockwall. They also took many bus loads of seniors to Branson, Missouri. J and Dorothy are members of First Family Church in Dallas, Texas. J was the head usher for over 15 years and did his job with a flair few possess. He trained and mentored many Christian men along the way and he was deeply respected for his Bible knowledge. He was also appreciated for his dancing that could be seen many Sundays during a rousing praise and worship song. J and Dorothy recently relocated to Frisco, Texas and have made many new friends in a short time. The family wants to thank the caregivers from Bluebonnet Hospice. All of the caregivers have been especially kind and loving. We love you, Kandice, Judy, Beauty, and Yvette and all the caregivers who helped J. Thanks also to Wendy who was J’s nurse in his final days and helped usher him into the Kingdom and to Edith who we only knew a short time but will always love. Viewing will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Sunday, November 14th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and the funeral is Monday, November 15th at 12:30 pm in Memorial Chapel at Restland.
