SELF, J.C. of Garland, Texas is now in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Blue Ridge, Georgia on July 27, 1931. He is survived by his lovely wife, Barbara A. Self; sons, Michael Self, Gary Self and wife Windie, and Christopher Self; daughter, Deborah Strain and husband John; grandchildren, Tessa, David, Chris, Shonda, Christina, James, Jonathan, Jennifer, Whitney, Sobriety, Brook, Austin, Bryce, and Shyanne; and great grandchildren, Skyler, Ethan, Mason, Eden, Avery, Emma, Evan, Lucas, and Triton. J.C. served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a staff sargeant. He also retired from Dallas County District II. “He is loved so very much and will be so missed. However, we will see him again soon. In His Loving Care, Your Family” Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 12:30 PM at Restland Memorial Chapel.
