Born February 1, 1924 and passed away on July 24, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Ballew; daughters, Kay Ballew and Janis Ballew. Survived by his daughter, Ann Melton; grandchildren, Michael, Philip, Katrina, Laura; step-son, Bill Madden and wife Doris; step-granchildren, Curtis and Donna; eight great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and his brother, Malcolm Ballew.
