Jack Edgar Brady made his final closing statement on July 20, 2018, and he now stands before the Ultimate Judge longing to hear the verdict …..well done My good and faithful servant.” Jack was born on August 13, 1925, and grew up in Gladewater, Texas. He was the only child of V.E. and Thelma Brady.He attended UT where he received his law degree and then moved to Dallas and established his first law firm, Brady & Drake, which later became Brady, Drake, & Wilson. Jack served in the US Navy from 19471949 before becoming an attorney and never stopped serving others after that. He was president of Dallas Junior Bar 1954, Chairman of the Deacons at his beloved First Baptist Dallas 1984, Chairman of Trustees Criswell College, Chairman of the Board of Directors BankDallas 2001, founding board member of Sky Ranch, founding board member of FBA, founding board member of the Downtown Pregnancy Center Dallas, long time board member of ICR, among many other areas of service.But above all these honors and accomplishments he would rather be known for his love for the Savior and his family. He married the love of his life, Kathryn Brady, in 1951, and they had three children whom they raised on the knowledge that God made the moon but they thought their dad hung it! He is now seeing his parents and daughter, Julia, whom preceded him to Glory, but knows his son Douglas W. Brady and wife, Julie, his daughter Susan Wideman and husband, David, his grandchildren, Barrett, Brooks, and his fiancé, Megan, Matt and his wife, Randi, and Mandy and her husband, Nathan, his great-grandchildren, McKinley, Mercy, and soon to appear, Caleb, will someday join him in Heaven and “WHAT A DAY OF REJOICING THAT WILL BE.”Services will be held at First Baptist Dallas at 11:30, Wednesday, July 25, with a reception following. Family visitation will be held Tuesday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Restland. In lieu of flowers, please support two of his favorite charitable organizations: CEAMS, 6440 N.
