Jack Louis Diamond's Obituary
Jack Louis Diamond, (92) of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jack was born on May 18, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, to Thomas E. and Adeline Diamond.
Jack was a native of Dallas and graduated from W. H. Adamson High School. After graduation he joined the Navy and proudly served during the Korean War. During that time, he met the love of his life and bride of 70 years, Jewell Kidd, at Virginia Beach while his ship was in port. A classic love story between sailor and nurse that was destined to be, Jack and Jewell Diamond.
Jack worked as an electronics technician for 40 years, at RCA Corporation, Emerson Electric, and Panasonic Corporation.
Jack enjoyed traveling, first with his family then later with Jewell and close friends. He loved boating and woodworking.
Jack positively impacted everyone he met. He was generous, loving, and always optimistic. He led by example, teaching his children and grandchildren many skills and life lessons. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by many.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife Jewell, children Cindy (Jim) Gilmore, Kathi (Ed) Bartelme, and Tom (Christi) Diamond. Grandchildren Jeff (Angie) Gilmore, Page (David) Buchanan, Chris (Lauren) Bartelme, Stephen (Gina Rodriguez) Bartelme, Alex Diamond, Travis Diamond, and Jacob Diamond. Great grandchildren Josh & Eli Gilmore, Aidan & Connor Buchanan. Step-grandsons Brandon (Brittany) Bartelme and their 3 children and Lee (Angie) Bartelme and their 3 children.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Rawlings Diamond.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Jack May 27, 2023, at 2:00pm at First United Methodist Church in Mesquite, Texas. Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery.
