Jack Hugh Jennings' Obituary
Jack Hugh Jennings, 74, of Dallas was the principal of Jennings and Associates has passed away on December 10, 2014 in Fort Worth, TX after battling cancer. Jack was born on Feb 5, 1940 to Esta and Hugh Jennings in Palo Pinto, Texas. Jack graduated from Sherman High School, was an Eagle Scout, was a proud alumnus of Texas A&M University and received his MBA from The University of Dallas. Jack was also a very proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and volunteered to serve his country during the Vietnam War. Jack was a giving person and always there to help a friend in need. Jack entered The U.S. Navy, served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was a Lieutenant Junior Grade on a “Nasty Class” P. T. Boat in the DaNang area of Vietnam. After his service, he worked for Brown and Root in Houston, Texas Instruments, Taylor Publishing Co., and Xerox corp. in Dallas. During the early 1990’s, He established Jennings and Associates, a financial consulting business, in Dallas, TX. Jack was also a Professional Engineer, a Certified Management Accountant, a Certified Financial Consultant and a held a Texas Real Estate License, he was a member of Navy league and a lifetime member of the VFW. Jack was a Loving Father, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Husband and a Great Friend to many. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Mary Margaret Baylis Jennings, daughter Jennifer Leigh Jennings, as well as sister in law Elsie Baylis Morrison and her husband Daryl of Garland TX. Jack is survived by his daughter Joy Jennings and her husband Bobby Howell-Jennings of Burleson TX.; brothers Lee Jennings and wife Judith of Denver CO.; Jerry Jennings and wife Murlene of Fort Worth TX.; Jon Jennings and wife Judy of Wimberly TX.; nieces and nephews Heather Jennings and Curt Jennings of Denver Co.; Bob Jennings and William Jennings of Fort Worth TX.; Terry Jennings of Wimberly, TX.; Carter Jennings of Bastrop TX.; Kelly Doggett and husband Wally of Austin, TX.; Brad Baylis and Sherrie of Carrollton TX.; Belinda Baylis Bradley and husband Kerry of Dallas TX.; Brother-in-law Robert Baylis and wife Barbara of Dallas, TX., Brian Jennings and wife Sharon of Helotes TX., As well as numerous other cousins. Pallbearers are regulars from the Forum Club in Richardson, his “Cheers Services for Jack Jennings will be held at Restland Memorial Park in the Wildwood Chapel, Thursday December 18, 2014 12:30 PM. Viewing for Jack is Wednesday December 17, 2014 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
