Jack Robert Morris' Obituary
MORRIS, JACK ROBERT passed away May 30, 2013 at the age of 92. He was born in his home in Edmond, Oklahoma to Julian and Allene Morris on October 10, 1920. He had one brother, Eugene Morris. Jack joined the US Army at the age of 19 during WWII and also served in the Army Air Corp and US Navy Reserves. He married Adeline Dautenhahn Morris in 1946 while attending college at Oklahoma University. He later graduated from Texas A&M as a landscape architect. He worked at the Oklahoma City Parks Department and then FHA, transferring to Dallas in 1965 to continue work for the FHA/HUD in Dallas and Ft. Worth. He is predeceased by his parents, brother and grandson Austin Morris. Jack is survived by Adeline, his wife of 66 years, his daughter Annette Pustejovsky & husband Ron, son Jon Morris & wife Susan, daughter JoAnne Huffman & husband Jerry, daughter Barbara & husband Rick, along with 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Jose Rivas, the staff of Sunrise of Plano and Vitas Hospice. Donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Dallas, in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be at Restland Memorial Park Monday, June 3rd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a memorial service will be at Zion Lutheran Church on Tuesday, June 4th at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Restland Memorial Park.
