SPIVA, JACK LINTON Jack Spiva, 93, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012. Jack Linton Spiva was born August 30, 1918, in Meridian, Texas. He was a long-time resident of Dallas, Texas before moving to Mansfield, Texas in 1998. He was married to Pamela Ann Stevens-Spiva from September 10, 1938 until her death on April 15, 1995. He married Margaret Sadler Watson on June 15, 1996. He started Universal Sales Agency, Inc. in 1961 and later turned it over to his son, John, after retirement. Jack enjoyed traveling and had been a member of the Rambling Sam’s RV Club since 1986. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Stevens Spiva; mother Ercell Spiva; and sister Mary Catherine Spiva Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Watson Spiva, of Mansfield, Texas; brother, Frank Spiva of Abilene, Texas; children, John Spiva and wife, Jane, of Heath, Texas, Bob Spiva and wife, Virginia, of Lago Vista, Texas; step-children, Lynn Watson of Lewisville, Texas, Wells Watson and wife, Linda, of Possum Kingdom Lake in Texas; grandchildren, Todd Spiva of Round Rock, Texas, Kelly Spiva of Shreveport, Louisiana, Elizabeth Spiva of Austin, Texas; step-grandchildren, Danissa Jones and husband, Chris, of Mildred, Texas, Julie Meek and husband, Mike, of Wylie, Texas, J.W. Watson and wife, Missy, of Arlington, Texas, and Wendy Watson of Roanoke, Texas; and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, March 1, at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, March 2, at Restland Wildwood Chapel, with interment following at Restland Memorial Park. Rev. Scott Holcomb McLain officiating.
