Jack Irving Turner's Obituary
Jack Irving Turner was born May 10, 1927 in Ennis, Texas and went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 1, 2016 in Arlington, Texas. Jack will be missed by his family and friends for his generous spirit, service to God and warm sense of humor. Jack was a long-time member and devoted servant at Hampton Place Baptist Church and then at Cockrell Hill Baptist Church both in Dallas. He retired as a Motor Manual distributor for Hearst Publications after 32 years. He was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife of 66 years, Imogene; his parents Hughie and Clementine Turner; sister Novella Fletcher; and granddaughter Sara Dawn Turner. He was a gracious and caring father to his children: Ron and wife Trish Turner, Shelley and husband Mark Kamphues, Wayne and wife Jill Turner; brother: George Turner and wife, Judy. He was a beloved “Pappy” to his eight grandchildren: Heather and husband Miller Glanton, Joel Turner, Ryan and wife Lisa Wilson, Ricky Simon, Michael Turner, Jace and wife Carmen Simon, Joe and Jack Turner, and 15 great-grandchildren: Kaleigh, Jacob, Coleton, Clayton, Gaige, Collin, Brayden, Makeila, Trinity, Natasha, Shane, Gianna, Julianna, Kynlie and Shyanne Imogene, and one great-great grandson, Cordyn, as well as many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 10:30 am at Cockrell Hill Baptist Church, 1128 Cockrell Hill Rd., Dallas, TX 75211, followed by Graveside Service at 3:00 pm at Restland Memorial Park, Garden of Good Shepherd. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
