Jackie Musgrave's Obituary
On November 28, 2020, Jackie Musgrave went home unexpectedly to the Lord at age 83. She spent her final days with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and grandson-in-law doing what she loved best, which was playing games, laughing, and enjoying everyone’s company. Jackie was born on November 5th 1937 in Dallas, Texas and was a lifetime resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Lifelong companions and soulmates, Jackie and Wayne Musgrave were married for 65 wonderful and precious years. A devout Christian, Jackie was a passionate servant of God, and she shared her testimony with anyone and everyone who she encountered. She was an avid inspirational speaker for Stonecroft Ministries where she touched many lives; she touched lives wherever she went and even wrote a book, Phone Calls, to inspire as many people as possible. Jackie was also on the Board of Directors and sang for the Silver Serenaders, and she spent countless hours rehearsing and performing for various groups of individuals who loved music. Jackie was crowned Ms. Mature Irving in 2001 and was a beautiful representative of this incredible honor. She spent limitless hours working hard for Operation Care to create Christmas décor for thousands. Among many other things, Jackie was a designer, and she not only had the privilege of decorating and designing numerous parties, weddings, and celebrations over the years, but she had the very special honor of planning and designing her granddaughter’s wedding at her own home in Rhome, Texas in October 2019; this was her passion, and she loved every minute of it.
Each day, Jackie lived life to its fullest, despite complications and setbacks. She was strong-willed, energetic, compassionate, always willing to help those in need, and more stubborn than anyone could imagine. She was a warrior, and truly had nine lives. Jackie walked step-by-step with the Lord in life, and now she walks hand-in-hand with the Lord in Heaven, directing, designing, and decorating everything she can. She was a one-of-a-kind lady, known as “Dandy” to her granddaughter, and she will forever be remembered as a beautiful soul.
Jackie was preceded in death by father and mother, Jack and Jewell Teames; daughter, Janet Kay Musgrave; and sister, Doris Jewell Orr.
Survived by husband, Wayne Musgrave; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Mary Musgrave; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amanda and Anthony Fontana; grandson, Shawn Musgrave; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bob Crawford; sister-in-law’s; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
