Jacob Robert Barton's Obituary
Jacob Robert Barton entered Heaven at 2:11 AM to the arms of our Lord and Savior. Jacob fought hard with all he had to conquer this cancer so he could be around to teach his precious son how to hunt, fish, noodle and coach him in every sport. In life, Jacob was a loving giver, it’s only appropriate and fitting that he continue to give and help in his death. We are deeply saddened by his death and will miss him dearly, but so proud that his contributions to Cancer research will assist the medical community and possibly save others. Jacob is preceded in death by his grandparents Hugh and Betty Barton, his uncle Randy Barton, his great grandparents Elmer and Castella Barton, A.R. and Ethel Jones,Jo Ann Carney, P.J and Maxine Fitzgerald. Jacob is survived by his son and fiancé Jamison Barton and Nicole Turner, his parents Lorie and Philip Fitzgerald, Robert and Tonya Barton. His siblings Jared and Jonah Barton, Brian and Tawny Horne, Faith, Grace, Joshua, Lindy ,Casey and Cody Fitzgerald, His grandparents Linda and Doug Walters and Mike and Sandy Partridge. Great grandfather Doug Carney. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncles. Jacob leaves hundreds of friends and team mates to remember him. Anyone who ever met Jacob was met with a smile. After he had known you a while, you might receive a practical joke or a devilish smile, because he loved to pull pranks and joke around. He loved to make people happy. He had a heart the size of Texas and would give you the shirt off his back. He was truly a gentle giant. He is home safely and all is well. A memorial service for Jacob Barton will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to giftfunds.stjude.org/Jacob Barton.
