Jacob F. Reinhardt's Obituary
REINHARDT, JACOB FREDERICK Born Dec. 2, 1923 in Chicago, IL and died in Dallas, TX on Sept. 3, 2011 at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Hermena Reinhardt and his wife, Vera Reinhardt. He is survived by his daughter, Verna Callan and son-in-law, John Callan; son, Dan Sullivan; grandsons, Chris Callan, Joe Callan, Ryan Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Alexis and John Callan. Jake served in Europe during World War II. He fought on Omaha Beach and at the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Silver Star on the field of battle by Gen. George Patton, 3 Purple Hearts, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, and numerous other medals and honors. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, an endowed member of the Scottish Rite, member Hella Shrine and the Hella Marching Patrol. The family would like to thank Dr. Joe Garcia at the VA Hospital, Maggie, Cheryl, and Nancy at Traymore, and Nancy and Jessica with Hospice Plus for the loving care they gave to Jake. Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with interment to follow in Veterans I at Restland Memorial Park. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00PM, Monday at Restland Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be members of the Hella Shrine Patrol.
