Jacqueline Ruth Dean (Jackie)
Born September 11, 1935 in Dallas, Texas, passed away unexpectedly, April 30th, 2021 at home in Duncanville, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Flowers and mother, Jeannette Flowers. She is survived by her sons, Russell and James and wife, Katharine; daughter Sherry, and grandsons, Clint and Destry and grand-daughter, Paden. Also surviving, her sister, Janelle and brothers, Jeff and John. She grew up in Dallas before moving to Waco where she was a 1953 graduate of Waco High School. After marrying Sherman Dean, she moved to Hayti, Missouri and later Memphis, Tennessee, where she began working at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. After returning to Dallas in 1972, she continued at Blue Cross before retiring in June of 2016, having earned the designation of longest BCBS employee ever, at 49.5 years of service. She was always looking to help others and many have known her generosity.
