Jacqueline Martin Lamb's Obituary
84, died May 9, 2008. She is the daughter of Hollis and Otha D Martin. She was born in Quanah, Texas and always considered Quanah home. She was a 1940 graduate of Quanah High School and at the September 2007 High School Reunion; she was the 3rd oldest graduate. Jackie was preceded in death by Robert E. Lamb, her husband of 44 years. She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife, Donna, of Edmond, OK, daughter Susan Salmi and her husband, Tom, of Euless, and her son, Bill, of Dallas. She is survived by her grandchildren: Todd Salmi and his wife, Mari, Derek Salmi and his wife, Kris, Courtney Greedy and her husband, John, and Rob Lamb. She is survived by 5 great-grandchildren. Jackie’s husband, Bob, was a 1949 graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry. The 49’ers were a unique class at Baylor College of Dentistry and they remain great friends to this day. She was an Honorary Life member of the Alliance of the Dallas County Dental Society. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for 47 years. Their Pitch Club, started in the 40’s, was composed of 8 couples from different Lutheran churches in Dallas. The card playing transformed into a dinner club and existed for over 50 years. Jackie was confined to a wheelchair for over 20 years, but that did not limit or keep her from travelling. She lived life to its fullest. She loved to attend the activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers: Marc Krug, Kenneth Foree, Baylor 49’ers, Pitch Club.
