Jacqueline Brand Moore's Obituary
Jacqueline Brand Moore, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 3, 2016. She was born January 28, 1923, in Dallas to William and Mabel Brand. Jackie attended Highland Park High, Tulane, and SMU where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She married the love of her life Clifford Moore Jr. and they started a family after the war. The many friends from high school, college and life formed a close knit group filled with love, laughter, kindness, support and compassion throughout their lives The names YaYa and Mumsie were lovingly used by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After Clifford’s passing in 1974 she went to work for Dallas Federal Savings and Loan until her retirement. Jackie was a member of the Maryanne Scruggs Garden Club, Calliope Club, Book Club, Supper Club, S’musea, Bridge Club and Pan American Round Table..Her favorite activities were dancing, riding, golfing. bridge and traveling the world. Her many friends from high school and college formed a large group Jackie was a lifelong member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was preceded in death her parents William and Mabel Brand and her husband Clifford A Moore Jr. She is survived by her three loving daughters Soozie McBride of Dallas; Diane Morehead and husband Larry of Denison, Texas; and Kathy Lebolt of Dallas. Grandchildren David G McBride Jr of Dallas, Kristin Dockery and husband Ryan of Trenton, Texas; Ali, Michelle, and Christopher LeBolt of Dallas, Preston Morehead MD and wife Charlie Morehead MD of Floresville, Texas and Ross Morehead of McKinney, Texas. Great grandchildren, Madeline Cook. Sage Kiefer, Cash Dockery, Aubrie and Eli Morehead. She was a lover of people, animals and her faith. Her beautiful smile, caring spirit, eloquence and grace will forever be missed, lovingly remembered and in our hearts forever..God has truly gotten a special angel. The family would like to thank the wonderful caretakers that made her life special and comfortable, especially Marisol and Tish – her private angels. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Christ The King Catholic Church at 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas. Reception to follow at the church. Family service at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Judes Hospital for Children, Shriners Hospital for Children, Visiting Nurse Association or a charity of one’s choice.
