Jacqueline Patricia Treloar's Obituary
TRELOAR, JACQUELINE PATRICIA (ALFORD) on March 2, 2010, Jacqueline Patricia Treloar lost her long battle with a rare anemia. She was born at home in Franklin County in North Carolina to Mary and Raeford Alford. Jacqueline grew up in North Carolina and graduated from the Woman’s College at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, North Carolina, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She later received a Masters Degree from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, which she completed in eighteen months. Known as Jacque to her friends and family, she loved to travel, lived and worked in five states and assisted her husband in planning education tours to Northern and Southern Europe. She will be remembered for her delightful sense of humor, willingness to help others, and love of reading. In addition, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and working with children. Jacqueline will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, William Treloar, Richardson, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Laorie and granddaughter, Sarah of Allen, Texas; sister, Nancy Crites of Middlesex, North Carolina; Sue and Dick Beliveau, Garner, North Carolina; brother, Hugh Alford, Middlesex, North Carolina; brother, Joe Alford and Cornelia of Zebulon; brother, Wayne Alford and Brenda of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brother, Dwight Alford, Steve and Ann Alford, Broadway, North Carolina; Greg and Kathy Alford and Jon and June Alford, Bunn, North Carolina; special nephews, Richard Crites of North Carolina and John Crites of California. Her brother Bobby and sister-in-law Jean Alford of Goldsboro, North Carolina, preceded her in death. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Geraldine Alford and Hazel Treloar and nephews Pat and Wes Treloar and families of Houston, Texas along with a large number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins as well as dear friends of long standing. Services will be held at 3:00PM, Friday, March 5, 2010 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 7:00-9:00PM, Thursday, at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
