Jacqueline Ann Tucker's Obituary
Jacqueline Ann Tucker, 85, passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2010. Those wishing to contribute a memorial may contact American Hospice, 6421 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth , TX 76116. Jackie was born on Oct. 15, 1924 in Norwalk, Iowa to Charles Dean and Clara Louisa Laporte. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from the University of Iowa where she met her future husband, John Sherman Tucker. His job took them from Des Moines to Richardson, Texas; Tucker, Georgia; Kansas City, Kansas; and finally retirement in Garland, TX. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, wonderful mother, and a special friend to many. She loved needlework, quilting, gardening, bridge, traveling and reading. Her family would like to thank the staffs of Life Care Center of Plano and American Hospice for the loving care they gave her during her long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Sherman Tucker, and and infant son, Kelly. Survivors; daughters, Linda Brewer and husband Randy; Sue Hanson and husband, Paul; Denise Price and husband, Jerry; grandchildren Kristin Koester and husband, Dirk, Kameron Brewer, Meghan Eslick and husband Matthew, Jeff Hanson and wife Jena, Melanie and Allison Price; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn; a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Phyllis Tucker, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Monday September 20, 2010 at First United Methodist Church Richardson, 503 North Central Expressway Richardson, Texas 75080.
