Jacquelyn Louise Ballew's Obituary
Jackie Ballew passed away February 3, 2009 at Baylor Hospital in Garland, Texas. She was born in Arkansas, moved to Texas in her teens, and has lived in Garland ever since. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Jackie worked as a supervisor at Southwestern Bell for over 40 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garland. Over the years she and her husband enjoyed traveling, and took many trips with their daughter Joli, and later their granddaughter Jennifer. Jackie loved to read, she loved her dogs, and most of all she loved her family and was deeply proud of all of their accomplishments. She was a wonderful mother and wife; the best anyone could hope for. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elizabeth and L.B. Toland, her mother- in-law and father-in-law, Ollie and Virgil Ballew, brother in-law and sister-in-law, Morris and Josephine Ballew, and sister-in-law, Jerridee Toland. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Merritt Ballew, daughter, Joli Ballew, granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson, and brother, Bradley Toland, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday February 7, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery.
