Jacquelyn "Jackie" Fleeson's Obituary
Jacquelyn (Jackie) Fleeson was born May 25,1929 in Brady, TX. She went to heaven on January 19,2018.She was a daughter to Otis & Eva Mae Darley. She was the loving wife of Walter Fleeson for 54 years. Jackie was a Kindergarten teacher at First Baptist Church of Garland, TX; went back to TWU to complete her degree, obtained her master’s degree and then taught kindergarten and first grade in the Garland, TX public school system.She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-laws: Patty and Richard Turner of Whitney, TX; Charlotte and John Erwin of Denton, TX and Shelli and David Schmidt of DeLand, FL. Her grandchildren are Gregory and Kim Turner of Arlington, TX; Melissa Million and husband, Andy of Coppell, TX; Mike and Deanna Erwin of Hickory Creek, TX; Mitch and Cara Erwin of Tyler, TX and Matthew and Lauren Schmidt of Grand Prairie, TX. Her great grandchildren are Trevor and Tyler Million; Cole and Brady Turner; Acadia, Caleb and Jonathan Erwin; and Kylie, Maddison, Emmett and Brooklyn Schmidt.Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the First Baptist Church Chapel of Garland, TX. Internment will follow at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Visitation will be there Thursday, January 25, 2018, 6:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Fleeson/Schmidt Scholarship Fund at the First Baptist Church Garland.
