Although only meeting Jackie a few years ago, we’ve had occasion to meet at mutual friend, Rachel Elder’s home in Emory and have enjoyed sharing stories and good meals several times. Never a dull moment between Jackie and her friend of 50 years.
Please know, Margie, that you and Jackie’s family are in my thoughts and prayers in your loss.
I know that she is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus and there is a new star lighting our paths tonight.
I won’t say goodbye, but rather that ‘I’ll see you on the other side’. This summer would have marked 50 years of friendship between us and that in itself is ‘rare air’. I’m going to miss that infectious laugh of yours, that contagious smile and that zany sense of humor behind it all but at the same time I will forever cherish the laughter we managed to share every time we got to have a visit. Rest in peace, my friend.
