Jaime Luis Colon's Obituary
Jaime Luis Colón known as James by all was born January 25, 1938 in Albonito, Puerto Rico passed away February 4, 2015 at his home in Garland, Texas. Present was his one true love, his loving wife Geraldine and long time, best friend Maŕcia Baxter, along with Silverado support members. He is preceded in death by parents, Ramon and Angelita Colón, two brothers, Jose Antonio Colón, Rafael Colón, one sister Haydee Cleary, and his furry babies Lindy and Princess. James is survived by his brothers Roberto & wife Margarita Maria Colón, Raymond & wife Tiva Colón, Oscar Colón, Tony Colón & family; sisters, Eva Rivera and Gloria Pacheco; nephew Albert & wife Sharon Colón; niece Annette & husband Genaro Rivera and family, and many other nephews, nieces and extended family along with brother-in-law, Val & wife Lavina Land and their children Jimmy, Steven and Bobby; sister-in-law Phyllis Kimbell, her two sons Owen and Larry Farris and two daughters, Vicki & husband Ken Graves and their sons Ian and Sean, Rachel & husband Mike Paris and their children Jason and Kristen; cousin-in-law Linda Morris and family; special friends Joanne Scotch and sons Sean and Matt, Mary Manley, Dr. Deo Guidry and many other friends and super nice neighbors. James moved to New York City at the age of 11. Later, he moved to Texas after joining the United States Air Force in 1956. He married Geraldine Land on February 20, 1960. He graduated from UTD in 1977 with a B.A. He was employed at Rockwell International and the E. P. A. as a Quality Engineer. James was a huge sport fan, enjoying baseball, football, boxing and bowling. He also loved to socialize with his friends and neighbors. The service for James will be held Tuesday February 10, 2015 at 3:00 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with a visitation an hour prior to service. Refreshments will be available following the service at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
