James Fredrick Adams, Jr.'s Obituary
James F. Adams,Jr. (Rick), age 69, passed away May 1, 2016. Rick was born on April 15, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas to James F. and Ila Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Adams and his mother Ila adams. He is survived by his wife Lucy Adams, of Richardson, Tx, his father James Adams of Dallas, Tx, his sister, Susan Spohn of Horseshoe Bay, Texas and brother Dan Adams of Portland, Oregon. Rick was blessed with nieces, Jennifer Ogden and Ashley Adams and nephews Jason Spohn and Joel Adams. Rick served in the US Army from 1967-1969 and was stationed in Vietnam for 12 months. In 1985 he started his career at Watt/Spohn Universal and he became Vice-President of administration where he created many close relationships in the company that he considered his family. Rick was dearly loved by the many people he worked closely with for 30 years. Rick and his beloved wife Lucy were able to travel and enjoy many wonderful memories in their short life together. He was grateful for the many blessings she brought to his life including her children Laurie and Greg and her grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at Sojourn Church, 4041 Marsh Lane, Carrollton, Tx at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at Sabine Creek Tres Dias, Attention: Vernon Bonnette, 2109 Valley View Dr, CedarHill, Tx 75104. Please note “in honor of Rick Adams”. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
