James Doss Allen III, age 81, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on February 12, 2018 in Carrollton, Texas. He was born on June 27, 1936, to James D. Allen Jr. and Maragrite Hope Allen in Dallas, Texas. James married Judy Barnett, on April 10, 1957, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.He was a salesman for 51 years, as well as a member of AA for 28 years. James also served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957.James is survived by his puppy, Sophia, in Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter, Julie Allen Cude, and husband Joel, of Arlington, Texas; son, James D. Allen IV of Ovilla, Texas; grandchildren, Joel P. Cude Jr., Jessica N. Cude, Jillian S. Cude of Arlington, Texas; Quinn Allen and James D. Allen V of Ovilla, Texas.There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 beginning at 12:30PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior.
