James Frank
The Frank Family members from Cincinnati extend our deepest condolences for the passing of "Uncle Jimmy". Uncle Jimmy's sister Mary Jane (deceased) and her husband Stan (deceased) and their son Jack, along with Jack's children and grandchildren greatly cherished Uncle Jimmy's visits to Cincinnati. He was always quick with a compliment filled with positive enthusiasm and was genuinely interested in our well-being. His great devotion to his sisters was apparent to us here in Cincinnati, but it pales in comparison to his devotion to his wife Mary Jo and his daughters. He often spoke to us about the escapades of his daughters and son-in-laws, whether they were traveling the globe or raising his grandchildren. He was very proud of his family. When pressed, he would talk about himself, and conversations would lead mostly to his service in the Coast Guard. But these conversations were short-lived because he already knew his story. He was more interested in knowing our stories. Uncle Jimmy had the uncanny ability to extract out of us stories we had not even told each other, not dark stories, or even wonderful stories, but just everyday mundane stories, hardly worth repeating, but never-the-less led to incredible familial conversation. It will be these familial conversations that we will miss the most. Uncle Jimmy, our southern gentleman, molded and shaped by the southern ladies in his life, will be missed, remembered, and cherished by all of us in Cincinnati and around the globe.
