James William "Bill" McAda's Obituary
Bill McAda of Richardson, TX, passed away July 30, 2011 peacefully from the arms of his loving family to the loving arms of the Lord. Bill was born January 21, 1941 in Sherman TX, to George and Jean McAda who preceded him in death as well as a brother, Dan McAda, son, Jeff McAda and sons-in-law, John Reese and Terry Ing. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gail McAda; daughters, Kelley Maxwell and husband, Robert; Karen Ing, Kim Cole and husband, Billy and son, James McAda and wife Tracey; daughter-in-law, Kathy McAda; grandchildren, Jessica Owen, Michael McAda, Jordan Fisher, Billy McAda, Alex Ing, Kody McAda, Abbey McAda, Amanda Tulloch, Kelsey McAda, Ashley Tulloch, Tiffany Ing and Matthew McAda. He is leaving a continuing legacy of 4 great-grandchildren and brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Dee Hatzenbuehler and family. Bill was a Richardson icon, having moved to Richardson in 1954 and went to Richardson High School. He and Gail raised their 5 children in Richardson and both were pillars of the community. He began his career as an electrician and eventually opened his own business in 1970. McAda Electric Company operated for 26 years on Central Expressway. Bill also loved vintage cars and opened his own car business, Nice Cars. Bill had amazing friends from all walks of life, especially in the construction trade and the car business. His strength and love will forever be with us. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, August 2nd from 6-8 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3rd at Eastridge Park Christian Church, 2701 N. Town East Blvd., Mesquite, TX 75150. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Building Fund at Eastridge Park Christian Church.
