James Edward Bradshaw's Obituary
BRADSHAW, JAMES EDWARD “JE” was born on October 31, 1916 and peacefully passed away on March 23, 2014. JE retired as a Chief Petty Officer with the U. S. Navy after a twenty year career. Settling down in Oak Cliff with his family, he worked with the U. S. Postal Service and was a member of Oak Cliff Christian Church. Along with bowling, he and his wife, Kathy, enjoyed their Saturday night bridge games with Don and Gladys Housewright, men versus women. In retirement, he and Kathy loved the RV trailer lifestyle traveling extensively to enjoy the Rocky Mountains. Their favorite place to camp was on Yellowstone Lake. JE was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, five sisters, and Mary Kathleen (Kathy), his wife of 57 years. He is survived by his son, Steve, and family – wife, Mary; son, Alan; daughter-in-law, Sarah; and daughter, Anne; and by his daughter, Kathy Lynne, and family – husband, Larry; and daughters, Shannon and Kimberly. The Family expresses their deep gratitude for the love and care JE received from the staff at Walnut Place. Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Wildwood Chapel of Restland Funeral Home. Gravesite services immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the Family asks that memorials be made to the charity of ones choice.
