James Harold Brecheen's Obituary
James Harold Brecheen born August 1, 1943 in Lampassas, Texas passed away April 13, 2016 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Survived by wife, Linda Akins Brecheen; brother, Dan Edward Brecheen and wife Karen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Lemuel Harold Brecheen; and mother, Kathryn West Brecheen. Jim graduated from WW Samuel High School in Dallas, Texas in 1961. He was working his way through college when he was drafted into the Vietnam conflict. He chose to join the US Airforce Branch, thinking that he would have a better of chance of furthering his education. He served 1 year of his 4 yr – term in Thailand on the Laos/Cambodia border as an Air Traffic Controller. After leaving the military, he enrolled at North Texas State University where he graduated with a BBA in Marketing with a 3.8 GPA. After receiving his degree he became a Regional Sales Rep for the Pharmaceutical Industry for several years. He then joined McNeil Laboratories and was part of the team that put Tylenol on the market. Jim was founder and CEO of Entry Technologies Inc., in Denton, Texas. He was very dedicated to his long-time customers and valued their trust in him and the opportunities they entrusted to him which enabled him to lead the Access Control Industry in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Jim was a man of strong faith and devoted husband with a gentle spirit, loved by many. He was an active member of FBC Gainesville. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved the many travels he and Linda made over their 52 years and travels made with several family members. Jim was 32nd degree Mason, Shriners and a member of the Dallas Scottish Rite Temple. The service for James Brecheen will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at The First Baptist Church in Dallas.
