James Phillip Broyles' Obituary
James Phillip (Jim) Broyles was born at home on March 13, 1941 and passed away on July 10, 2016. He lived in Mesquite from 1969 until his death. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Chris Broyles, his mother and father, Jesse Henry and Nina Mae (Heskett) Broyles, and a brother and sister-in-law, Jesse Henry and Gayle Broyles. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Sanders) Broyles, daughter Carol Kwasnica, son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Jennifer Broyles, and two grandchildren, Aaron Bailey Kwasnica and Tyler James Kwasnica. Brother Jerry and Kaye Broyles of Wichita Falls, brother Joe and Pam Broyles of Wichita Falls, and sister Jeannie and Ronnie Stuttes of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and many nieces and nephews. Jim graduated from Wichita Falls High School and Midwestern University. He served his country in the United States Army and went on to work as a computer analyst. While working at the VA Data Processing Center in Austin he met the love of his life, Nancy Sanders. The couple got married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton, Texas, on December 16, 1967. Later they joined St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Mesquite when they had a house built in Mesquite in 1968, while Jim was employed as a computer analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield. In 2007 he retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He loved working in his yard and spending time at Special Olympics events with Bailey and attending activities at church and at school events with Tyler. He was a special handyman for his children and grandchildren. He loved quality time with his family, brothers, sister, his parents in Wichita Falls, the Sanders family at their farm in Mosheim, and many, many friends. He was a very quiet gentle man whom we all loved. The visitation for James Broyles will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for James will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, July 15, 2016 in Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with interment in Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bank of America, Team Mesquite Fundraiser account.
