Carl was a very smart and artistic (inventive) man. In fact his siblings were too but they said Carl was the most intelligent. Last time I saw him was when he gave me a big hug as I cried my heart out at his sister, Mary's funeral. Mary was a sister to me and we were friends from the age of 9 until her death. Mary was close to Carl and always spoke of him kindly. Mary is always in my thoughts (July 24th was the anniversary of her birth) and therefore so is Carl. I have a snapshot of Carl in his military uniform among photos. So many memories..wish I could write a book. Thank you Carl for your compassion.
