James Bret Darby's Obituary
J. Bret Darby of Fort Worth, went home to be with the Lord, May 10, 2015, following a long and hard fought battle with cancer. He was a kind and sweet spirit. He was preceded in death by his father, William Carlton Darby. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Kay Hancock of Rockwall, his sister Pamela E. Silva, and her husband Rick of Trophy Club, his sister Leslie A. Rocha of Celina, his sister Heather Lynn Darby of Ireland, his brother Dr. Robert J. Hancock of Trophy Club, and his brother William Bart Darby. He is also survived by his companion of nine years Penny Wright, and her son Billy of Fort Worth. Other survivors include nieces Amber Whited, Jessica Rocha, Juliette Rocha, and nephews, Caleb Rocha, Samuel Hancock and Austin Hancock. He is also survived by a great niece, Avery Whited and a great nephew, Connor Whited. A memorial service for Bret is scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2015, at 12:30pm. The service will be held in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
