James George Eason's Obituary
Born November 7, 1928 in Detroit, MI; passed away November 12, 2008 in McKinney, TX at his home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Eason, of 57 years; daughter, Diane Snow of Dallas, TX; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Linda and Dennis Welcher, of Tulsa, OK; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Brian and Jan Eason, of Dallas, TX; Son and Daughter-in-Law, John and Amy Eason, of La Porte, IN; grandchildren, Stephanie Welcher, Drew Welcher, Kim Martin, Travis Snow, Sam Eason, Amy Eason, John Eason, Abigail Eason, Jake Eason, Mara Eason, and Zach Eason. Jim graduated from Denby High school in 1947 and received a BA in Accounting from the University of Detroit. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1953, and was scouted as a left handed pitcher by Brooklyn Dodgers and NY Giants organizations. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at St. Michael’s Church, 411 Paula Road, McKinney, TX, 75069. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Drive, Suite 206, North Hollywood, CA 91607-3421.
