Mr. James Ray Edwards' Obituary
Mr. James Ray Edwards, a dedicated educator and beloved husband, passed away on February 21, 2024, in Cleburne, Texas, at the age of 86. Born on October 17, 1937, to the late H.G and Anna Edwards. Mr. Edwards devoted his life to the pursuit of knowledge and the imparting of wisdom to countless students as a history teacher at Itasca High School and Godley High School.
Throughout his 47 years of marriage to his cherished wife, Veneta Bond Edwards, he found immense joy and support. Mr. Edwards was an avid outdoorsman who found solace in fishing, hunting, and delving into the depths of history during his spare time.
Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Edwards, but is survived by his loving sister, Sherie Garrett, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched deeply.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Mr. James Ray Edwards will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Restland Cemetery, located at 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas. His legacy of passion for education and zest for life will forever be treasured by those who knew him.
