I also was blessed to have worked for Jim and Sarah in the mid to late 70's at his company Jim Erwin Office Equipment. Jim, the salesman he was, always had a story to tell but most importantly they had purpose. I can't say enough about Jim. I found him to be an inspirational Christian Brother, Friend and Mentor. He lead by example, was kind and gentle, considerate and caring.
Mr. Jim Erwin was a man of honor, virtue, generosity & big heart towards all around him; A man so dedicated & proud of his family; Who always sees the best in others & the world. He was the living embodiment of American Christian value. We will miss him, his warmth & kind spirit, his jokes, his Baylor football stories. He is gone to rest with the lord, where he will be rewarded for all his labor in this life, and we hope to see him again.
I was privileged to work with Jim back in the 80s. His leadership skills I still use to this day, quoting his wisdom to friends and colleagues. I look forward to seeing him again when we meet in heaven. Blessings, Tim Root
