James Andrew Farrier's Obituary
FARRIER, James Andrew was born on April 28, 1916 in Woodward, OK to C.M. (Jack) and Florence Hoffert Farrier and passed away peacefully on July 4, 2013 in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Verda Lane Farrier. Mr. Farrier received his law degree from George Washington University, Washington D.C. He served our country as a flight instructor in the Army Air Corp throughout WWII, spent most of his career as a Landman for Sinclair Oil and Atlantic Richfield Oil. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and long-time member of East Dallas Christian Church. He is survived by 3 sons, Jack and Linda Farrier of Carrollton; Jerry and Debbie Farrier of Southlake; Jon and Susan Farrier of Dallas; daughter, Carol and Chris Ornes of Plano; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 12 at East Dallas Christian Church, 629 N. Peak, Dallas 75246. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to EDCC or Alzheimer’s Association, 4144 N. Central Expy, Ste 750, Dallas, TX 75204.
