James Edward Franks Jr's Obituary
Jim, at the age of 59, went home to be with Christ and was united with his wife Donna on November 17, 2009. He was born in Dallas, Texas and lived all of his life in the Dallas metroplex. Jim was loved by all who knew him because of his outgoing and fun-loving personality. He spent 30 years in sales with various store planning companies, the most recent of which was Leggett and Platt. Jim was also devoted to his immediate and extended family and cherished their times together. His son Jeff’s activities were always a part of their family focus. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Donna Roberts Franks. He is survived by his son Jeffrey Scott Franks of Mesquite, parents James and Margaret Franks of Mesquite, sister Terri Blankinship of Rowlett, sister and brother in law Susan and Lynn Morris of Heath, nieces Katelyn Morris of Heath, Priscilla Warren of Houston, and countless friends and family. At Restland Funeral Home, 9220 Restland Road, Dallas, visitation is scheduled for Thursday November 19th from 6 to 8 pm. The service is scheduled for Friday, November 20th at 12:30 pm in Memorial Chapel at Restland. Interment following service.
