James Lee Gatlin's Obituary
James Lee Gatlin, age 75, of Richardson, Texas passes away in Dallas, Texas on May 12, 2022 at 7:01am.
He was born December 27, 1946 in Holsington, Kansas. James was the son of James Virgil and Vivian Jean Gatlin of Wichita Fall, Texas. James recieved his education in the Warika, Oklahoma public schools and graduated from Rider High School, Wichita Falla, Texas in 1965. After graduation , James enlisted in the United States Navy and served our country, completing 2 tours of duty in Vietnam, as a Seebee Heavy Equipment Operator, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1969. Upon discharge from the Navy, he retired in 2000 after working as the Head of Maintenance for the Integrity Transitional Hospital in Denton for several years.
James is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Donna: one son, James Donald Gatlin; two sisters, Betty Smith and Shirley Henderson and one brother, Steven James was prceded in death by his parents, James Virgil and Vivian Jean Gatlin.
We will miss James' laugh and smile, his ability to fix anything, and the preciousness of his presence.
Services will be held at Restland Funeral Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas. On Wednesday, May 18th 2022 at 2:00pm at The Wildwood Chapel.
