Mr. James Franklin Gaulding's Obituary
GAULDING, JAMES FRANKLIN. James F. Gaulding, age 90 of Mississippi, passed away on August 15, 2007 in Dallas, TX where he lived the last 53 years. He is survived by his wife Helen B. Gaulding, children John A. Gaulding and wife Jan, Jean G. Wylie and husband J. Michael, Barbara G. Pryor and husband Woodrow, Cecile Sanabria and great grandchildren and a host of other family members. Mr. Gaulding graduated from Springville High School in Springville, TN, in 1933 and then joined the Navy where he served until July 1937. He worked in the medical field while attending the University of Tennessee Medical School for several semesters. After leaving the medical field, he joined the Treasury Department in 1942 in Kentucky and over the next five years was promoted frequently in field and office management positions. During this time he attended law school and was admitted to the Bar of Tennessee in 1947 and in Kentucky in 1948. After law school, Mr. Gaulding moved to the Office of Regional Counsel and served as a federal prosecutor for over 20 years in San Francisco and Dallas. In 1972, he entered into the private practice of law until he retired in 1991. A man of great intellect and presence, he was an inspiration to family and countless friends. He was a generous and devoted father and grandfather who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. A private family service will be held on Friday, August 17.
