James Robert Graves' Obituary
James Robert Graves was born on January 2, 1937 in Plano, Texas and passed away on April 10, 2015 in Richardson, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Claudia Graves; brother, David Graves and sister, Claudette Graves Vaughan. James served 3 years in the Army and 4 years in the Air Force. James met Jean Wagner in 1957 and went to the State Fair on their first date; they were married on February 07, 1958. He worked with Boy Scouts (Scout Master) as well as Weblows. He retired from IBM after 33 years of service in 1997. After retirement he continued to be involved in scouting and enjoyed traveling around the country. Together, James and Jean traveled to almost all 50 states expect for Main, Florida Alaska and Hawaii. He will be missed and fondly remembered by those he leaves to cherish his memory. James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean Wagner Graves; son, Dwayne Graves and wife, Stacy; daughter, Marita Graves Husted and husband, Craig; grandson, Blake Graves; granddaughters, Alexis and Liberty Safford; great granddaughter, Sofie; brother, John Graves and wife, Lynne; niece, Deborah Graves Tomlin; nephews, Chris Graves, David Graves and Scott Vaughan and several great nieces and nephews. The visitation for James will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for James will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 12:30 PM at DFW National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
