James Alexander Hamilton's Obituary
James Alexander Hamilton of Mesquite, Texas passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the age of 92. Jim was born on August 27, 1923, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Marvin and Kelvie Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Bernice, of Mesquite, Texas, and a sister, Sue Ann Riley, of Miami, Oklahoma. He served his country in World War II as a Sergeant and Tank Commander in the 786th Tank Battalion in the European theater. After release from his military service, he made his home in Los Angeles, California and started his career in the dry cleaning business, which he enjoyed for 40 years. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, from 2pm to 3pm, at Restland Abbey Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas. A funeral service will follow at 3pm in the same location. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Care Hospice, Mesquite Campus, 1000 Wiggins Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75150.
