James Betts Harbin's Obituary
HARBIN, JAMES BETTS was freed of his earthly restraints into the arms of our beloved Father in Heaven. Survived by his wife of 70 years, Frances; daughter, Trudy and husband Sterling Heard; granddaughter, Lenda and husband Christopher; and great grandchildren, Logan and Wayne Sturdivant. He was preceded in death by son, James Betts Harbin II; sister, Lela Norwood; and brothers, Everett, Jess and Albert Harbin. James was owner of Harbin Supply, an oil and gas supply company. He was deacon and Sunday school director at First Baptist Church of Dallas and he also was on the board of directors of Criswell College. His love, generosity and sense of humor will be missed and always remembered. Service will be held at 3:00PM, on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Restland Wildwood Chapel, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
