James Louis Hutchings' Obituary
James Louis Hutchings was born on April 19, 1921 in Sayre PA and passed away on January 6, 2017 in Dallas, TX. Survived by wife of 71 years, Elizabeth Hutchings; sons, Steve and John Hutchings; daughter, Linda Garner; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Loving and devoted husband and father, James was a decorated WWII veteran and served in the 95th Bombardment Group – 412th Squadron, as a B-17 Navigator. He flew 26 missions over Nazi Germany and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. Jim was an electrical engineer, employed with Texas Instruments for over 30 years. He loved bowling, fishing, sports and family! In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Richardson Missions Fund. Service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11 AM at First United Methodist Church of Richardson, 503 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, TX 75080. Sr. Pastor Dr. Clayton Oliphint presiding. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
